Now, let\'s talk about the role itself. We are looking for a dynamic individual to join the BW Engineering Team as a CAD Designer. Reporting to the VP of Wisecarver Automation, we are looking for individuals that can thrive in a fast-paced, high-energy environment with a positive can-do attitude, impeccable integrity, and excellent communication skills.

We are seeking a skilled CAD Designer to create, modify, and optimize 2D and 3D designs for our motion solutions products. The ideal candidate will collaborate closely with engineering, manufacturing, and product management teams to produce accurate, manufacturable designs that meet both customer and internal specifications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop detailed 2D drawings and 3D models of components, assemblies, and systems using CAD software (SolidWorks preferred).
  • Interpret engineering requirements, technical specifications, and customer needs to produce accurate designs.
  • Collaborate with engineers and project teams to ensure designs are manufacturable, cost-effective, and meet quality standards.
  • Maintain and update CAD libraries and design documentation.
  • Assist in creating prototypes and work with manufacturing to resolve design-related issues.
  • Participate in design reviews and suggest improvements for functionality, efficiency, and manufacturability.
  • Ensure compliance with company standards, design guidelines, and industry regulations.
Qualifications
  • Associate’s or Bachelor\'s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Design, or related field.
  • Proven experience in CAD design, preferably with SolidWorks.
  • Strong understanding of mechanical design principles, materials, and manufacturing processes.
  • Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving and spatial visualization skills.
  • Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate in cross-functional teams.
  • Experience with PLM/PDM systems is a plus.
  • Experience with CREO is a plus.
