Job summary

PSG, a Dover Corporation brand and a leading provider of pumps and flow technologies, is seeking a CAD Designer to create and maintain 2D/3D components, assemblies, and BOMs in support of global manufacturing programs. You will collaborate with engineers, ensure GD&T conformance, and transfer designs into ERP and PDM systems.

The role requires an Associate Degree or equivalent and 5 years of related experience. Proficiency in SolidWorks and knowledge of Oracle ERP are preferred.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent required.
• 5 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Proficient with SolidWorks and GD&T.
• Familiarity with Oracle ERP preferred.

Responsibilities

• Apply CAD techniques to review engineering drawings, components and assemblies.
• Work with engineering teams on global and regional manufacturing programs.
• Design custom products using SolidWorks to meet specifications.
• Create and maintain BOMs and transfer products into ERP systems.

Creates, maintains and supports though accurate Bill of Materials (BOM), ERP Item master and product documentation.Essential Duties and Responsibilities :Apply CAD techniques to review engineering drawing, components, and assembliesWork as part of a dynamic team for engineering projects related to global and regional manufacturing programsDesign special / custom products using SolidWorks to meet design specificationsProvide accurate models, assemblies, and drawings for new product development and existing productsCreation and maintenance of Bill of MaterialsResponsible for transfer of product into ERP system. Complete necessary ERP item creation maintenanceMaintain SolidWorks PDM file systemRelease Engineering Change Notices and process Engineering Change RequestsPerform administrative duties for the ECN processCheck drawings and layouts for accuracy, proper use of GD&T and tolerance stack up analysisParticipate in multifunctional teams, to interact with Sales, Quality and ManufacturingParticipate in DFM, DFA, DFS and design reviews when requiredProvides assistance & training to lower level employeesQualifications / Requirements: Associate Degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school required5 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experienceDesired Characteristics:Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as ratios & proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Database software; Design software; Development software; Internet software; Spreadsheet software and Word Processing software.Proficient with SolidWorks.
