Horsepower Automotive Group in Chandler, AZ is seeking a CAD Designer to turn bold ideas into manufacturable reality. You’ll create SolidWorks models, build complex sheet metal assemblies, and drive product development from scans to production, collaborating with prototype engineers.

You’ll bring 2+ years designing automotive or aerospace parts, strong SolidWorks skills, and a mindset focused on manufacturability. Join a fast-paced shop dedicated to premium American-made bumpers and accessories.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience designing automotive or aerospace products.
• SolidWorks used to create sheet metal and tubular parts.
• Experience with tooling and fixtures.
• Fluent in English.
• Ability to translate ideas into manufacturable assemblies.

Responsibilities

• Create CAD models in SolidWorks daily — from templates, physical parts, or your own designs.
• Build complex 3D sheet metal and tubular assemblies ready for manufacturing.
• Process 3D scans and create scanned mesh models to drive new product development.
• Partner with the prototype engineering team to move new products into production.
• Take open instructions on part and assembly revisions and run with them.

What You’ll Do

• Create CAD models in SolidWorks daily — from templates, physical parts, or your own designs.

What You Bring – Position Requirements

• Strong SolidWorks skills — you can manage complex assemblies and create sheet metal and tubular parts with confidence.
• 2 years - Experience designing similar automotive or aerospace products
• Experience with tooling and fixtures, and the know-how to bring a 3D model into physical reality.
• A creative mindset paired with the discipline to translate ideas into clean, manufacturable assemblies.
• Self-motivated and assertive, comfortable in a fast-paced shop where priorities shift quickly.
• A team-first attitude — you put the success of the team above your own interests.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English fluently.

Pay & Benefits

• Starting at $27.00 per hour with advancement depending on experience
