Job summary

TDM Consulting, Inc. is seeking a CAD Designer to support the design and development of municipal infrastructure projects in Southwest Florida.

You will produce precise drawings of water/wastewater systems, site utilities, and structural layouts in collaboration with engineers and project managers. The ideal candidate has drafting experience, attention to detail, and proficiency with AutoCAD or similar software.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree (A.S.) in Drafting, Engineering Technology, or related field preferred but not required; equivalent work experience will be considered.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to produce high-quality drawings.
• Experience with municipal infrastructure projects is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Drafting & Modeling: Create, update, and maintain detailed drawings using AutoCAD or similar design software.
• Project Collaboration: Work closely with engineers and project managers to interpret project requirements and translate them into accurate design documents.
• Quality Control: Ensure that all drawings and models comply with industry standards, municipal specifications, and regulatory requirements.
• Documentation & File Management: Maintain organized project files, revise drawings as needed and assist in preparing documentation packages for client and regulatory approvals.
• Technical Support: Assist with data collection, field measurements, and design modifications to ensure design accuracy and consistency.
• Continuous Improvement: Stay current with new drafting technologies, software updates, and industry best practices to enhance efficiency and quality.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, or similar modeling and drafting software.
• Experience with municipal infrastructure projects (e.g., water/wastewater, site, plans, site utilities, structural layouts) preferred.
