Job summary

Spicer Group in Michigan is seeking a CAD Designer for its Transportation Service Line. You will create and maintain detailed 3D roadway models using Civil 3D or OpenRoads Designer, collaborate with engineers and technicians, and ensure designs meet project standards.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of transportation design experience, strong attention to detail, and solid communication skills. A high school diploma is required; additional CAD certifications are a plus.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of transportation designer experience.
  • Proficiency in Autodesk Civil 3D or Bentley Open Roads.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem solving.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork.

Responsibilities

  • Create and maintain 3D roadway models.
  • Review plans and prepare RFI documentation.
  • Prepare quantity takeoffs and project summaries.
  • Mentor junior technicians and designers.
  • Coordinate with engineers, designers, and clients throughout design.
