Job summary

Malin in Addison, TX is seeking a CAD Designer to support the Systems department in developing material handling layouts and detailed drawing packages for warehouse and automation systems.

You will develop 2D CAD layouts, interpret concepts into production drawings, maintain drawing accuracy, and assist project teams with installation drawing packages while coordinating with cross-functional groups to meet scope and schedule.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of CAD drafting or design experience.
• Proficiency in 2D CAD workflows and standards.
• Experience with material handling or industrial systems preferred.

Position Overview
Malin is seeking a CAD Designer to support the Systems department in developing material handling layouts and detailed drawing packages. This role collaborates with engineering, sales, and project management teams to deliver accurate, high-quality CAD drawings for warehouse and automation systems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop 2D CAD layouts and detailed drawings for material handling systems including conveyors, mezzanines, and automation components
• Interpret engineering concepts, markups, and system requirements into production-ready drawings
• Maintain drawing accuracy, revision control, and adherence to company CAD standards
• Support sales with concept layouts and assist project teams with construction and installation drawing packages
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure drawings align with project scope, schedule, and installation needs
• Update drawings based on field feedback and project changes

Qualifications:

• Proficiency in AutoCAD 2D
• Minimum 2+ years of CAD drafting or design experience
