MAPEI is offering a CAD Design Specialist Intern position in Deerfield Beach, FL. You will support the CRS teams with drawings, documentation, and customer materials while translating technical concepts into accurate visuals.

The internship runs May–August 2027 (12 weeks) with a 40-hour workweek. You will gain hands-on experience, housing stipends may be considered, and there are potential full-time opportunities after graduation.

Qualifications

Actively pursuing a bachelor's or graduate degree in CAD Design, Drafting, Architecture, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field (juniors and seniors preferred)
Experience with AutoCAD or similar computer-aided design software
Ability to read and interpret drawings, plans, and technical information
An innovative mindset and strong motivation to learn and succeed
Willingness to travel

Responsibilities

Create and update CAD drawings, details, layouts, and technical illustrations.
Support project submittals, specifications, presentations, and customer materials.
Develop product application details for concrete repair and restoration systems.
Revise drawings based on project requirements and technical-team feedback.
Help maintain drawing libraries, templates, standards, and project files.
Review plans and project information to support technical recommendations.

The Opportunity
As a CAD Design Specialist Intern, you will work alongside our Concrete Restoration Systems commercial and technical teams to support drawings, project documentation, and customer-facing materials. You will gain hands-on experience translating project information and technical concepts into accurate visual details that support product recommendations, specifications, and commercial projects. This experience may lead to future opportunities in technical services or commercial project support.

Create and update CAD drawings, details, layouts, and technical illustrations.
Support project submittals, specifications, presentations, and customer materials.
Develop product application details for concrete repair and restoration systems.
Revise drawings based on project requirements and technical-team feedback.
Help maintain drawing libraries, templates, standards, and project files.
Review plans and project information to support technical recommendations.

The Program Details

Full-time schedule (40 hours per week)
Internship duration: May-August 2027 (12 weeks)
Practical, hands-on learning with MAPEI's CRS team
