Job summary
Preferred Utilities Manufacturing Corp. in Danbury, CT seeks a Design Engineer with strong SolidWorks expertise and DriveWorks automation experience to optimize existing products and automate CAD generation for custom projects.
The role requires collaboration with manufacturing and design teams to implement robust design rules and improve CAD workflows. The successful candidate will be focused on 3D modeling, drafting, and CAD automation, serving as the in-house DriveWorks champion and driving
Qualifications
- BS in Mechanical/Manufacturing Engineering or Industrial Design.
- Associates in Mechanical Design with Logic Programming will be considered.
- Proficiency in DriveWorks and SolidWorks preferred.
- Some 2D CAD experience (DraftSight/AutoCAD).
- Experience with MS Excel rule-based automation.
Responsibilities
- Create 3D models and fabrication drawings using SolidWorks.
- Automate SolidWorks projects with DriveWorks.
- Integrate engineering calculations into DriveWorks rules.
- Collaborate with factory to improve manufacturing methods.
- Collaborate with combustion and fuel handling designers to improve CAD methods.
