Job summary

Kendall Howard is seeking a CAD Detailer to create, maintain, and release accurate manufacturing documentation that supports production. You will collaborate with Engineering, Manufacturing, and Supply Chain to develop detailed drawings, BOMs, and fabrication documentation ensuring clear, production-ready results.

You will review drawings for manufacturability, maintain templates, handle ECOs, and assist with product launches and ongoing documentation improvements.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent experience in drafting or engineering technology.
• Proficiency with CAD software, preferably SolidWorks.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, dimensions and tolerances.
• Understanding of sheet metal fabrication, machining, and assembly processes.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain detailed manufacturing drawings, assemblies, and fabrication documentation using CAD software.
• Generate flat patterns, bend data, cut lists, and other outputs for production.

• Create and maintain Bills of Material (BOMs) and part numbers in company systems.
• ,
• Review drawings for accuracy, manufacturability, and compliance with drafting standards.
• ,
• Develop and maintain standard drawing templates and documentation practices.

• Process ECOs by updating drawings and BOMs accordingly.
• ,
• Collaborate with Engineers to prepare production-ready documentation for new products.
• ,
• Resolve drawing discrepancies with Manufacturing personnel.

• Maintain CAD libraries, standard parts, models, and design databases.

• Identify opportunities to improve documentation quality and efficiency.

• Coordinate with Supply Chain to ensure documentation reflects manufacturing needs.
