Job summary

GRISWOLD INDUSTRIES is seeking a CNC Programmer to develop and optimize programs for CNC mills and lathes. You will formulate programs using CAD/CAM systems, plan cutter paths, speeds, feeds, and prepare set-up instructions.

Under supervision by the Machine Shop Manager, you will test new programs, maintain CNC data, and ensure safe, efficient operations. A minimum of 2–4 years in CNC programming with MasterCam is required.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years CNC programming experience.
• 2–4 years operating CNC mills and lathes in production.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specs.
• Knowledge of G-code and CAD/CAM software

Responsibilities

• Formulates programs using CAD/CAM from designs and specs.
• Plans cutter paths, speeds and feeds for production runs.
• Selects tooling for machining processes and recommends tooling.
• Prepares setup instructions including tool types, sizes and parameters.
• Develops and tests CNC programs to ensure quality and safety.
• Maintains and updates CNC programs and documentation.
• Maintains CNC equipment and performs regular housekeeping of files.
• Ensures compliance with safety guidelines and company policies.
