Job summary

Admiral Heating and Ventilating, Inc. in Chicago seeks a BIM/Drafting professional to support design, drafting, and pre-fabrication workflows for HVAC projects.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

• - Partners with internal business partners to support design, drafting, and pre-fabrication workflows (from as-built drawings through project closeout), within the construction/industrial/HVAC industry.
• - Review and prepare CAD drawings per project specifications, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and ownership.
• - Identify conflicts, constructability issues, and discrepancies between consultant models, construction documents, and field conditions, frequently incorporating approved design changes.
• - Participate in BIM and coordination meetings to communicate model-related issues and required changes to project teams and external partners.

Qualifications, Competencies, & Abilities

• - Proficiency in using AutoCAD and Revit.
• - A degree in a related field is ideal but not required.
• - Excellent verbal/written communication, organizational and time management skills, with a strong attention to detail.
• - Self-Motivated, with the ability to work with little or no supervision.
• - Strong level of attention to detail.
• - Use logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems.
• - Excellent interpersonal skills, and the ability to communicate information and ideas both verbally and written so others understand your vision.
• - Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects and deadlines.
• - Work and communicate effectively with individuals at all levels, including executives.
• - Fluent with Microsoft Office Suite.
