Job summary

Stratus is seeking a CAD/BIM Designer II to join its design team. This intermediate role creates and manages detailed 2D/3D CAD/BIM models and construction documents, supporting project teams and coordinating with architects, engineers, and other disciplines.

The ideal candidate holds an Associate’s degree or equivalent in CAD/BIM or a related field and has 2–4 years of CAD/BIM experience, with advanced proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit.

Qualifications

• 2-4 years of experience in CAD/BIM design
• Experience with Plumbing, Mechanical, or Electrical Design
• Advanced proficiency in CAD/BIM standards and coordination

Responsibilities

• Develop 2D and 3D CAD/BIM models and drawings meeting project specifications.
• Prepare and organize construction documents including plans, elevations, sections, and detailed views.
• Coordinate with architects, engineers, and other project stakeholders to implement design changes.
• Conduct quality control reviews of drawings and models to ensure compliance with standards.
• Maintain and update project files for easy access by the team.
• Assist with design coordination by integrating models from various disciplines.
• Follow and enforce CAD/BIM standards and protocols across deliverables.
• Troubleshoot and resolve software or modeling issues, providing technical support to junior designers.
