Job summary

Reframe Systems in Andover, MA is seeking a software engineer to build CAD automations for our Onshape-based workflow. You will write custom features in FeatureScript and extend Onshape with APIs, ensuring production-grade tools that reduce repetitive work and feed our CAD-to-fab pipeline from design to factory floor.

Qualifications

• BS in computer science or electrical engineering, or equivalent experience.
• 2+ years of general software engineering experience, including automated testing, CI/CD, monitoring and alerting.
• Hands-on experience with parametric design (Onshape, Autodesk Fusion, SolidWorks, etc.) and building custom features/plugins in that platform.
• Experience using coding agents to build prototypes and ship production-ready solutions.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain custom Onshape features in FeatureScript for production use.
• Augment Onshape workflows by building tooling and integrating with external systems via APIs.
• Expand capabilities of our MCP on top of Onshape APIs.
• Collaborate with design engineering to reduce repeated manual work and integrate solutions into daily workflows.
• Build automation that handles CAD-to-fabrication workflows and device/fixture placement.
