Job summary

Clear Destination Inc. in New Jersey seeks an experienced CAD/PLM Engineer to maintain the CAD environment and ensure accurate product data flow through the PLM system.

You will enable Engineering, Production, and Supply Chain to define product definitions, structures, release processes, and maintain CAD/PLM standards. The role requires strong Creo Parametric and Windchill knowledge, plus experience with data modeling, BOM alignment, and change management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or related field is required.
• 5–7 years mechanical CAD experience with Creo.
• 3–5 years PLM experience with Windchill.
• Experience with product structures (eBOM / mBOM).
• Experience with PLM configuration or scripting (Java or XML).
• Strong cross-functional communication and problem solving.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain CAD/PLM standards, libraries, and best practices.
• Enable Engineering teams on CAD models, assemblies, and product structures.
• Lead change management to ensure data accuracy across releases.
• Drive system configuration and data model updates with PLM/IT teams.
• Test, configure, and maintain Creo and Windchill environments.
• Provide training and documentation for CAD/PLM users.
• Collaborate with Production, Supply Chain, and Component Engineering on data and BOMs.

Job description

This role maintains and supports the CAD environment and ensures accurate and consistent product data flows through the PLM system. It enables Engineering, Production, and Supply Chain to define product definition, product structures, release processes, and maintains CAD and PLM standards. The role also supports PLM configuration and targeted system improvements, in coordination with the PLM team, to ensure the system continues to meet business needs.

*** This role is Hybrid and candidates must be local to our New Jersey office.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain CAD and PLM standards, libraries, and best practices
• Enabling Engineering teams on CAD models, assemblies, and product structures
• Leading change management processes and ensure data accuracy across product releases
• Partner with PLM and IT teams to drive system configuration, data model updates, and targeted customizations (including scripting or Java-based enhancements A PLUS)
• Test, configure, and maintain CAD and PLM systems (Creo Parametric and Windchill)
• Provide training and documentation for CAD and PLM users across the organization
• Work cross-functionally with Production, Supply Chain, and Component Engineering on product data and part management

Qualifications:
