Job summary

Cactus Wellhead in Bossier City, LA is seeking a skilled fabricator/welder to join our manufacturing team.

You will fabricate and repair products using welding equipment, read engineering drawings, align and weld parts, and ensure quality and safety. This on-site role requires adherence to safety policies and completion of required weld tests. The position may involve physical demands including lifting up to 50 pounds and working around heavy machinery.

This is a Cactus Wellhead position, and is located in Bossier City, LA

Job Summary: Responsible for fabricating and repairing product using welding equipment.

Essential Functions, Roles, and Responsibilities: Essential duties and responsibilities include the following.

• Practice safe work habits and comply with all quality, safety, health and environmental policies, procedures, programs and regulations.
• Reviews layouts, prints or drawings in preparation for welding or cutting metal components.
• Layout, position, align, and secure parts and assemblies prior to welding, using straightedges, combination squares, calipers, and/or rulers.
• Join, fabricate and repair metal and other welding type material.
• Examines work pieces for defects and measures work pieces with straightedges or templates to ensure conformance with specifications.
• Performs other duties as assigned or requested.

Education, Training, Experience: High School diploma or general education degree (GED); or 3 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

• Perform and pass a ASME/AWS weld test.
