Job summary

Cactus Wellhead in Odessa, TX, is seeking a detail-oriented assembler to help assemble and test all Cactus or customer products. The role requires following quality, safety, and environmental policies while meeting production schedules.

Responsibilities include reading assembly drawings, positioning components, inspecting finished work, and using hand and power tools. You will work in an inspection/assembly area with regular lifting as specified by safety guidelines.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or 2+ years related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

Essential Functions, Roles and Responsibilities:

Essential duties and responsibilities include the following:

• Practice safe work habits and comply with all quality, safety, health and environmental policies, procedures, programs, and regulations.
• Inspect, operate and test completed products to verify functioning and conformance to requirements.
• Position and/or align components for assembly, manually or using hoists
• Verify parts clearances and fit up
• Adjust, repair, rework, or replace parts and assemblies to eliminate malfunctions and to ensure proper operation.
• Read and interpret assembly drawings or operation manuals.
• Maintain and lubricate parts or components
• Remove rough spots and smooth surfaces to fit, trim or clean parts, and use of hand tools or power tools.
• Perform other regular duties as assigned or requested.

Education, Training, Experience:

High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED); or a minimum of 2 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
