Job summary
The Ohio Department of Education and Workforce, Office of Nutrition, seeks an Education Program Specialist to support CACFP and related programs across Ohio. You will help implement and oversee nutritional program guidelines, monitor compliance, and provide technical assistance to sponsors in schools, daycare homes, centers, and nonprofits.
Key responsibilities include interpreting regulations, performing on-site reviews, evaluating meals and records, and ensuring accurate sponsor reporting
Qualifications
- 6 years experience in a related content area, or an undergraduate core program with 4 years of experience and travel ability.
- Graduate core program with 3 years of experience and travel ability; Master’s degree option also listed.

Responsibilities
- Actively monitor CACFP and affiliated sub-programs; provide specialized program assistance and guidance.
- Interpret regulations to approve/disapprove agreements and monitor administrative budgets.
- Conduct on-site sponsor reviews to ensure compliance with state and federal rules.
- Evaluate food products, meal quality, nutrition compliance, and records maintenance.
- Provide customer-focused technical assistance to maximize program usage in schools, daycare homes, centers and nonprofits.
