Job summary

Southern Industries Home Improvement seeks an experienced Cabinet Installer to transform kitchens, bathrooms, and living spaces in North Charleston, SC. This full-time role offers a high-volume workload and comprehensive benefits.

You will measure, install, and finish cabinetry to exact standards, communicating with homeowners and coordinating with the production team to ensure timely project completion.

Qualifications

• Proven experience installing cabinets, countertops, trim, millwork, or in residential remodeling.
• Minimum 2 years of cabinet installation or finish carpentry preferred.
• Strong measuring, leveling, layout, and installation techniques.
• Ability to read and follow installation plans and measurements.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to lift up to 100 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Professionally measure and prepare installation areas per guidelines.
• Install kitchen, bathroom, and other residential cabinetry accurately.
• Level, plumb, secure, and align cabinets for a clean finish.
• Install cabinet doors, drawers, hardware, trim, and related components.
• Perform cuts and modifications for precise fit.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized worksite and communicate with homeowners.
• Coordinate with production staff on materials and scheduling.
• Complete projects on schedule and report delays.

What You’ll Do

• Professionally measure and prepare installation areas according to manufacturer guidelines and company standards
• Install kitchen, bathroom, and other residential cabinetry accurately and efficiently
• Properly level, plumb, secure, and align cabinets for a clean, professional finish
• Install cabinet doors, drawers, hardware, trim, fillers, and related components
• Perform necessary cuts, adjustments, scribing, and modifications to achieve a precise fit
• Demonstrate exceptional craftsmanship and attention to detail on every installation
• Identify and resolve installation challenges and jobsite issues
• Communicate clearly and professionally with homeowners throughout the installation
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
• Coordinate with production staff regarding materials, scheduling, inspections, and project completion
• Complete projects on schedule and promptly report any issues or delays
• Represent Southern Industries in a professional manner while on site

What You Need

• Proven experience installing cabinets, countertops, trim, millwork, or experience in residential remodeling/home improvement
• Minimum 2 years of cabinet installation or relevant finish carpentry experience preferred
• Strong understanding of measuring, leveling, layout, and cabinet installation techniques
• Ability to read and follow installation instructions, plans, and measurements
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
• A valid driver’s license
• Ability to lift up to 100 lbs., bend, kneel, stand for extended periods, and perform physical labor
• Ability to work independently and problem‑solve on the jobsite
• Professional communication and customer-service skills
• Willingness to comply with background checks and drug screening if required
