Job summary

Jobtailor in Houston, TX is seeking an experienced telecommunications cabling technician to install and test network cabling, interpret CAD designs, and lead projects. This role requires coordinating with contractors and customers to ensure successful project outcomes.

You will maintain safety standards, manage inventory, and work with patch panels and tools. A valid driver's license and your own tools are required within 60 days of hire.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of field experience.
• Ability to interpret CAD designs.
• Installation and testing of network cabling – Cat.3, Cat 5, Cat 5e, Cat.6, Fiber Optic, Coax, Risers and Tie Cables.
• Lead cabling projects with support from other technicians and temporary labor.
• Understanding of telecommunications infrastructure and voice and data applications.
• Solid experience in pre-cabling preparation and installation of patch panels.
• System/component level troubleshooting and working knowledge of electronics.
• Valid Driver’s License required.
• Clean driving record required.
• Must have their own tools within 60 days of employment.

Responsibilities
