Job summary

Intervala, LLC is seeking a Process Engineer – Cable & Wire for 1st shift at Mount Pleasant, PA. You will develop, implement, and improve manufacturing processes for cable and wire assemblies, collaborating with Production, Quality, Design Engineering, and Supply Chain to launch new products and drive cost and quality improvements.

This role emphasizes problem-solving, process validation, and DFx during NPI.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related technical field with 2+ years of relevant experience OR Associate degree with 4+ years of relevant experience OR High school diploma with 6+ years of relevant cable/wire/manufacturing experience.
• Experience with cable and wire assembly manufacturing strongly preferred.
• Experience in electronics, electromechanical, or contract manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and optimize cable and wire assembly manufacturing processes.
• Support new product introduction (NPI) and production launches to ensure readiness of processes, tooling, documentation, and equipment.
• Create and maintain assembly instructions, process documentation, work instructions, and visual aids.
• Establish and improve processes for wire preparation, stripping, crimping, termination, soldering, splicing, and cable routing.
• Develop fixtures, tooling, gauges, and manufacturing aids; evaluate crimp specifications and tooling.
• Troubleshoot manufacturing issues; perform root cause analysis and drive continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with Design Engineering on DFx (Design for Manufacturability/Assembly); review new product designs for manufacturability.
• Provide technical support and training to production personnel on new and improved processes.
