Job summary

Peyton Resource Group is seeking a hands-on Warehouse Specialist in Statesville, NC to support receiving, storage, inventory, and shipment of cable and related materials. You will work with forklifts, scan inventory, and maintain accurate records.

The role emphasizes attention to detail, reliability, and teamwork, with a schedule 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM and benefits including health/dental/vision and paid time off.

Qualifications

• Previous warehouse experience required.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Forklift experience preferred; certification is a plus, but willingness to obtain certification is acceptable.
• Basic computer skills and experience with inventory or warehouse software.
• Ability to read shipping documents, packing lists, and product labels.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Reliable attendance and a strong work ethic.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Receive incoming cable products, reels, materials, and shipments and verify quantities and condition.
• Load, unload, and move materials using forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment.
• Pick, pack, stage, label, and prepare materials for shipment.
• Scan and track inventory using warehouse management or inventory systems.
• Organize cable reels, wire products, accessories, and other warehouse materials.
• Perform cycle counts and assist with physical inventory.
• Maintain accurate shipping and receiving documentation.
• Follow warehouse and material‑handling safety procedures.
• Keep the warehouse clean, organized, and operating efficiently.
• Work with supervisors and team members to meet shipping deadlines and customer requirements.
