Job summary

AMERICAN SYSTEMS is seeking a detail oriented Cable Technician 4 in Chantilly, VA with 5 years of structured cabling experience. You will perform copper and fiber cable tasks, read blueprints, and document test results.

Responsibilities include installing cable trays, testing and terminating cabling, interfacing with customers, and generating BOMs. Possession of US Citizenship preferred; BICSI certs are a plus; must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and work safely.

Qualifications

• High School plus advanced training, minimum 5 years cabling experience.
• US Citizenship is required for access to buildings (if applicable).
• BICSI Certifications are a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Pulling, terminating and testing copper and fiber cable.
• Install cable tray and cable support hardware.
• Read blueprints and cut-sheets; generate test reports and as-builts.
