Job description

The Cable Technician I under direct supervision, performs basic operations to test and repair downhole cable for submersible pumps and motor equipment.

  • Pay Rate: 20.00/hour
  • Assignment Length: 3 months with the high possibility of extension based on performance and other factors.
  • Shift Details: Training period on day shift | 6:00 am - 4:30 pm, once required skills are acquired, hours will be 2nd shift 4:00 pm - 2:30 am | Hours subject to change.

Responsibilities:

  • Receives cable and carries out basic tests.
  • Performs basic repairs and learns how to splice cable.
  • Completes paperwork to send cable to inventory or field.
  • This is an entry level position where the employee is expected to learn all relevant company HSE policies and procedures and to demonstrate their application into his/her duties.

Qualifications:

  • The ability to perform basic mathematical calculations involving addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division is required.
  • Basic reading comprehension and writing skills are required.
  • Basic computer skills are preferred.
  • Requires completion of a high school diploma, or equivalent.
  • No previous experience required.
