Job summary

CC&N is seeking entry level Cable Technicians to join our team in Wisconsin. This hands-on field role involves learning the art of cable installation across new construction, existing infrastructures, factories, and medical facilities.

You will install, troubleshoot, and work collaboratively to complete jobs. Expect a fast-paced environment with opportunities to grow, hands-on training, and a path to become a skilled technician.

Qualifications

• Age 18 or older.
• High School diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Detail-oriented with good follow-through.
• Works well in a team environment with a positive attitude.
• Must have and provide a valid state driver’s license and auto insurance that meets WI requirements, and a vehicle to travel to job sites.
• Work hours may vary including some nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Must pass pre-employment screening.

Responsibilities

• Install, troubleshoot, and install low-voltage cabling (voice, data, security, paging, nurse-call systems, fiber optic, etc.).
• Cross-connect cables.
• Perform fiber splicing and termination per color codes.
• Test polarity, connectivity, and repair issues.
• Install racks and patch panels; set up computer rooms.
• Process paperwork accurately and timely.
• Maintain compliance with company and OSHA safety standards.
