Job summary

Anistar Technologies in Cheyenne, WY is seeking an experienced Cable Technician to install, terminate, and test voice and data cables, and to work on security/access control equipment. Must be comfortable working from a lift.

The ideal candidate has 1+ years in data center cable installs, owns basic telecom tools, and is willing to work up to 60 hours/week Mon-Sat. Familiarity with BICSI/EIA/TIA/NEC standards and a WY LV license are preferred.

Qualifications

• 1+ years’ experience installing cables in a data center environment.
• Ownership of basic telecom tools: Punch down, snips, wire strippers, cordless drill, Hard Hat, Boots, Safety Glasses, etc.
• Must be open to working Monday-Saturday up to 60 hours per week
• Familiarity with BICSI, EIA, TIA or NEC Standards.
• Cheyenne City and Wyoming state LV license

Responsibilities

• Pulling and routing CAT5e or CAT6 cable in a new construction environment
• Pulling and installation of fiber optic cables
• Testing fiber optic cables with Fluke/Viavi tester
• Labeling fiber optic and copper cables
• Terminating data jacks
• Installing support structures (ladder rack, fiber tray, basket tray)
• Must be comfortable working from scissor/boom lifts

Position Summary: Anistar is seeking an experienced Structured Cable Technicians to provide assistance with the installation, termination, and testing of various types of voice and data cables as well as security/access control equipment. MUST be comfortable working from a lift.

Job Responsibilities:
