Job summary

TEKsystems in Fort Wayne, IN seeks entry level technicians for data center wiring and installation. The contract-to-hire role emphasizes cable installation, rack and stack, and ducting work on-site in Fort Wayne.

Shifts run Monday–Friday, 6am–5pm, with responsibilities including wire pulls, conduit work, and compliance with blueprints. Benefits and an onsite work environment are provided.

Responsibilities

• Layout and install wireway, buss duct, cable tray, switches and receptacles.
• Mount and install backboards, cross connects, racks, patch panels.
• Install grounding for racks, equipment and cable as required.
• Terminate IDC connections (e.g. 110/66 blocks and patch panels).
• Direct conduit installations and wire pulling as needed.
• Operate tools/equipment for wiring tasks.

Layout and install wireway, buss duct, cable tray, switches receptacles and other devicesWill build closets (Mount and install backboards, cross connects, racks, patch panels, fiber optic and hardware). Install grounding for racks, equipment and cable as required. Complete all IDC connections (e.g. terminate 110/66 blocks and patch panels).d out. Looking for individuals that can work inside and outside building out the data centers. Looking for hard working individuals. Shift is Monday- Friday 6am-5pm. Pulls wire and/or oversees and directs conduit installations and wire pulling.Operates tools/equipment, normally requiring the use of two hands (examples: cable cutters, hammer drills, compression tools, jack hammers, etc.)

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $25.00/hr.Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
