Job summary

Verticomm in Denver is seeking a Cable Technician to join our telecommunications team. The cable technician is responsible for service calls and project work regarding pulling low voltage voice and data cable for our clients.

You may also install interior and/ or exterior perimeter camera systems and building access control systems. You will be provided a laptop, cell phone allowance, travel expense reimbursement, a gas and maintenance card and company vehicle and will be responsible for

Qualifications

• Strong Customer Service Skills.
• Experience pulling and routing low voltage cable in a commercial environment preferred.
• Terminating phone jacks and dressing and terminating distribution frames (66 or 110 blocks, patch panels).
• Performing appropriate labeling of all installed equipment cable.
• Read blueprints and/or schematics.
• Certifications and/or formal training in any of the above listed items is highly preferred.
• Must be willing to submit to a criminal background check.
• This person must have a clean cut appearance, visible tattoos may require covering (including sleeves) no piercings are allowed.
• Parking available to take a company vehicle home every day.

Due to expansion we are currently seeking a Cable Technician for our Verticomm division on our telecommunications team. The cable technician is responsible for service calls and project work regarding pulling low voltage voice and data cable for our clients. You may also install interior and/ or exterior perimeter camera systems and building access control systems. Experience installing building access systems is highly preferred. You will communicate the status of work orders to the client and respective Supervisor.

You will be provided a laptop, cell phone allowance, travel expense reimbursement, a gas and maintenance card and company vehicle and will be responsible for maintaining accurate vehicle stock and inventory count. Our Denver teams are currently traveling overnight 6 times per year. All other daily travel is local.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

• Strong Customer Service Skills
• Experience pulling and routing low voltage cable in a commercial environment preferred
• Terminating phone jacks and dressing and terminating distribution frames (66 or 110 blocks, patch panels)
• Performing appropriate labeling of all installed equipment cable
• Complete the assigned tasks safely and to company standards of quality and professionalism.
• Physical agility to climb overhead structures and willingness to work at heights up to 15 feet as well as the ability to use ladders .
• Ability to read blueprints and/or schematics.
• Certifications and/or formal training in any of the above listed items is highly preferred
• Computer proficiency with Microsoft office programs
• Must be willing to submit to a criminal background check
• This person must be willing to submit to a criminal background check.
• This person must have a clean cut appearance,visible tattoos may require covering (including sleeves) nopiercings are allowed.
• This person must have parking available to take a company vehicle home every day
