Job summary

Legrand AV, Inc. in Union, OH is seeking a Cable Supervisor to lead cable cutting operations on the Power Bus Way Team. This working supervisor role combines hands-on machine work with schedules and workflow management, requiring strong leadership and safe, high-quality output.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years supervising cable systems, solid technical problem-solving, and excellent communication. Participation across shipping, purchasing, QC, and programmers is expected to ensure project

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of 2 years' experience with cable systems or related field, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
• Proven ability to manage, motivate, and develop teams in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong technical problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact with team members.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage cable cutters while ensuring all work is completed safely, on schedule and to high quality standards.
• Train and motivate a team of cable cutters to meet performance standards and deadlines.
• Conduct site inspections and ensure compliance with company and industry standards, as well as safety regulations.
• Monitor the use and maintenance of the cable cutting machine, tools and equipment.
• Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used and report issues or concerns.
• Ensure adherence to quality, safety regulations, protocols, SWIs and best practices.
• Collaborate with Programmers, shipping, receiving, purchasing, quality control and other departments to ensure smooth project execution.
• Ensure proper documentation of all processes per ISO 9001 requirements.
• Troubleshoot daily hardware issues and keep the line moving; diagnose root causes of equipment/process failures.
