Insight Global is partnering with a leading structured cabling and technology infrastructure company to hire entry-level Cable Technicians. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to start a career in low-voltage construction, telecommunications, or data center infrastructure.

The team will provide hands-on training in cable installation, pathway construction, equipment installation, and jobsite safety.

Qualifications

  • 0-2 years of experience in construction, warehouse, manufacturing, trades, military, or technical environments.
  • Ability to use basic hand and power tools.
  • Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work on ladders for extended periods.
  • Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with the installation of copper and fiber optic cabling.
  • Pull cable through conduit, cable trays, and overhead pathways.
  • Support rack, cabinet, and equipment installations.
  • Label, organize, and manage cabling according to project standards.
  • Assist with cable routing and cable management activities.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area.
  • Follow all jobsite safety policies and procedures.
  • Learn industry standards and installation best practices from senior technicians.

Job description

Insight Global is partnering with a leading structured cabling and technology infrastructure company to hire entry-level Cable Technicians. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to start a career in low-voltage construction, telecommunications, or data center infrastructure. The team will provide hands-on training in cable installation, pathway construction, equipment installation, and jobsite safety.

Technicians will work alongside experienced leads and senior technicians to support commercial construction and technology infrastructure projects. This role requires a strong work ethic, a willingness to learn, and the ability to work in physically demanding environments.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities
  • Assist with the installation of copper and fiber optic cabling.
  • Pull cable through conduit, cable trays, and overhead pathways.
  • Support rack, cabinet, and equipment installations.
  • Label, organize, and manage cabling according to project standards.
  • Assist with cable routing and cable management activities.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area.

This is a 6-month Contract-to-Hire opportunity.
