Job summary

Hexatronic Rochester Cable in Culpeper, VA seeks a Full-Time Manufacturing Machine Operator to set up, operate, and monitor production equipment. You will verify tooling, load materials, perform pre-operational checks, and ensure safety guards are in place.

You will record production data, inspect cables for defects, adjust settings within approved limits, and communicate with QA and shifts to pass down in-process conditions.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Prior experience as a manufacturing machine operator desirable.
• Must be able to lift up to 35 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Machine Setup and Operation: Prepare and set up equipment according to job specifications.
• Material Handling: Load/unload materials and stage per job traveler.
• In-Process Quality Checks: Cut and submit samples; visually inspect for defects and measure critical dimensions.
• Process Monitoring: Watch machines for jams; adjust settings within approved parameters.
• Documentation & Traceability: Record production data, spool/lot numbers, and test results.
• Communication & Handoffs: Relay status and changes to QA and other shifts.
• Maintenance & Housekeeping: Perform minor maintenance and keep area clean and safe.
• Safety & Compliance: Follow PPE, lockout/tagout, and standard procedures.
