Job summary

Chromalox, part of the Spirax Group, is hiring a Cable Operator in La Vergne, Tennessee on a second shift (2:00pm–10:30pm). The role requires reading specifications, interpreting work orders, and running production equipment while ensuring quality and safety.

The ideal candidate has at least one year of related experience, familiarity with measuring tools, and strong attention to detail. You must be able to lift over 75 lbs and work well either alone or as part of a team.

Qualifications

• At least one year of professional experience as a Cable Operator or related role.
• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and work orders.
• Ability to use measuring devices to meet tolerances.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret specifications and work orders for setup and operation.
• Observe machine operations to detect malfunctions or shortages.
• Perform routine preventative maintenance on machines.
• Work alone or with a team to improve quality and efficiency.
• Conduct tests and inspections to verify conformance to specs.
• Must be able to lift over 75 lbs.
