Job summary

Samtec, Wilsonville Cable Manufacturing Site, seeks a Repair/Maintenance Technician to perform setup, repair, and preventive maintenance of cable manufacturing equipment. Responsibilities include troubleshooting, equipment status checks, and supporting Operations and Engineering to sustain existing systems and assist development of new equipment.

Essential duties include maintaining records, performing machine setups and changes, and minimizing downtime through proactive maintenance.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years in maintenance/equipment technician role or cable manufacturing
• Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
• Excellent record-keeping and attention to detail
• Able to read and understand equipment documents and schematics
• Experience with electrical and mechanical maintenance tools

Responsibilities

• Perform repair and maintenance for cable manufacturing equipment and tooling
• Execute preventative maintenance to minimize downtime
• Perform process setup and changeovers on equipment
• Troubleshoot automated machinery electrically and mechanically
• Generate accurate maintenance records in electronic system
• Support equipment uptime KPIs and PM tasks
• Assist with machine upgrades and basic wiring tasks
• Provide training on equipment and processes
• Work with Operations to reduce downtime
• Follow safety standards and procedures
