Job summary

Belden Inc. is seeking an experienced machine operator to operate and maintain cabling equipment on the 1st shift in Carson, AL. The starting pay is $22 per hour; standard shift is Monday through Friday, 4:30am to 1pm.

You will read manufacturing specs, set up machines, monitor quality, and perform basic paperwork while upholding safety and teamwork in a fast-paced environment. HS diploma or GED required and 1–2 years in manufacturing preferred.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED is required.
• 1–2 years of manufacturing experience preferred.
• Experience operating multiple machines at once is highly preferred.
• Ability to read and comprehend specifications in software or on paper.
• Ability to measure product attributes per specifications.
• Must be a team player and take a participatory role.
• Able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Reads and follows manufacturing specifications for setup and quantity.
• Analyzes product attributes and adjusts process to meet spec.
• Sets up and runs various auxiliary equipment.
• Ensures personal and team safety in the work area.
• Completes paperwork and production postings correctly.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
