Job summary

Gladiatoremergence in Fort Meade, MD is seeking a Level 1 Cable Lead who, with prior Level 2 Cable Technician experience, will supervise and guide a team in IT cable installation and termination on-site under TS/SCI + Full Scope Poly.

You will provide technical expertise, oversee daily training and task tracking, ensure team readiness, and maintain discipline, while reporting deficiencies to Cable Support Managers.

Qualifications

• Minimum fourteen (14) years of IT cable installation and termination experience.
• Proven team leadership, engineering, and design capabilities to meet technical specifications.
• In-depth knowledge of termination equipment, methodologies, splicing techniques, testing, and documentation.

The Level 1 Cable Lead shall possess the capabilities of the Level 2 Cable Technician, in addition to the following:

• Provide technical expertise to team members
• Provide daily oversight for executing training and keeping track of tasks that have been assigned
• Responsible for ensuring that team members have the technical skills and training necessary to complete their assignments
• Cable leads track that each team member's tasks are completed correctly and in a timely manner, and reports deficiencies only to their requisite Cable Support Managers
• The cable lead should be energetic, and an effective communicator, to help ensure that all team members know their assigned tasks and technical questions are answered
• The cable lead shall possess the necessary skills to motivate the team, as well as maintain a high level of discipline and respect

Qualifications

Shall have a minimum of fourteen (14) years technical experience in IT cable installation and termination Provide team leadership, engineering, and design knowledge to meet technical specifications In-Depth knowledge of termination equipment, methodologies, and splicing techniques Areas of knowledge must also include: physical ability to lift 50 pounds, cable termination, testing, cable rack preparation, layout and installation, and documentation A valid BICSI Technician certification is required Five additional years of experience may be substituted for certification
