Job summary

D & L Cabling Inc is hiring Low Voltage Cable Technicians/Installers in Town of Florida, NY. Both entry level and experienced candidates welcome.

Ideal knowledge includes CAT 3/5/6/6A cables, fiber optic installation and terminations, telephone wiring, and reading blueprints. NEC and Florida Building Codes experience is a plus. Some overtime, lift up to 75 lbs, and background checks apply.

Training is provided; most work is indoors with some outdoor shifts and occasional nights/weekends.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of CAT 3,5,6,6A cables.
• Fiber optic installation and termination.
• Telephone wiring and color code knowledge.
• Reading blueprints, plans and schematics.
• Knowledge of NEC and Florida Building Codes.

Responsibilities

• Lift up to 75 lbs (labor-intensive).
• Some outside work required.
• Some nights and weekends may be required (overtime).
• Training provided for motivated individuals.

Experienced level positions available.

• Knowledge of all Categories of cable ( CAT 3,5,6,6A )
• Knowledge of Fiber Optic installation , termination and best practices.
• Knowledge of telephone wiring, feeders and color code.
• Knowledge and experience reading blueprints, plans and schematics
• Knowledge of NEC and Florida Building Codes

This is a structured cabling position , cable TV and satellite experience while helpful does not apply to this position.

Entry level positions available.

• We will train motivated people.

This is at times a labor-intensive job and you must be able to lift 75LBS.

Most work done inside plant but there will be some outside work required.

This is a DRUG FREE WORKPLACE and you will be tested prior to employment (Please do not waste our time).

BACKGROUND CHECK will be required prior to employment.
