Prince Telecom is hiring entry-level Cable Installation Technicians in Plainfield, IL, to join our team and help connect America!

Compensation: $17/hr+

Job Type: Full-Time

Responsibilities

1. Resolve, repair, and install cable TV, internet, telephone, and/or alarm equipment according to guidelines.
2. Set up and configure residential networking equipment such as ONTs, routers, and switches.
3. Test and analyze results using company and customer devices, recording outcomes within prescribed parameters.
4. Interface with customers to identify and resolve issues perceived by them.
5. Drive a company vehicle safely between locations, maintaining a clean and stocked vehicle.
6. Complete accurate paperwork and update work orders regularly.

Customer Service Duties

1. Greet and interact professionally with customers, including handling escalations.
2. Review requested services with customers to ensure understanding and agreement.
3. Educate customers on product and service usage.

Minimum Requirements

• At least 18 years old.
• Valid driver's license with a minimum of 2 years driving experience.
• Authorized to work in the United States.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Comfortable working in tight spaces and in inclement weather.
• Experience with hand tools, power tools, and test equipment.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, time-sensitive environment.
• Effective communication skills.
• Able to travel and work extended hours, including overtime and weekends.
• Capable of lifting, climbing, and carrying ladders weighing up to 80 lbs.
