Job summary

Anistar Technologies is seeking an experienced Cable Technician to join a retail-focused team in Bristol, VA. You will install, terminate, and test voice and data cabling and security/access control equipment, and you must be comfortable working from a lift.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years of experience with CAT5/6 in commercial settings, owns basic telecom tools, and is familiar with BICSI/EIA/TIA/NEC standards.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience installing and servicing voice and data systems in Walmart or retail settings.
• Ownership of basic telecom tools: Punch down, snips, wire strippers, cordless drill, Hard Hat, Boots, Safety Glasses, etc.
• Familiarity with BICSI, EIA, TIA or NEC Standards.

Responsibilities

• Pulling and routing CAT5 or CAT6 cable in a new construction and existing structure commercial environment.
• Terminating data jacks.
• Installing support structures (ladders, racks, j-hooks).
• Must be comfortable working from scissor/boom lifts if required.
• Pulling, routing, installing and terminating structured cabling infrastructure in a commercial environment.

Job Title: Cable Technician

Pay: $20-$25/HR

Shift: Night 9:00 PM-6:00 AM

Position Summary:

Anistar is seeking experienced Structured Cable Technicians to provide assistance with the installation, termination, and testing of various types of voice and data cables as well as security/access control equipment. MUST be comfortable working from a lift.

Job Responsibilities:

• Pulling and routing CAT5 or CAT6 cable in a new construction and existing structure commercial environment
• Terminating data jacks
• Installing support structures (ladders, racks, j-hooks)
