Job summary

ITG Communications, LLC is seeking motivated technicians to perform skilled telecom installations and field support for residential and commercial customers. You will assist with aerial/underground work, operate basic tools, and uphold safety standards.

Training is provided, with paid training during the initial 4–8 weeks at $16.94 per hour, followed by production pay; overtime opportunities may be available.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• 0–2 years of experience in construction or related field preferred.
• Experience with basic hand and power tools preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist aerial or underground crews with equipment setup, operation, and maintenance.
• Load, unload, and organize construction materials and tools at job sites.
• Operate basic construction tools and equipment according to established procedures.
• Set up and maintain safety perimeters and traffic control measures.
• Assist with digging, trenching, and other ground preparation tasks.
• Support pole setting and aerial line work from the ground.
• Maintain strict adherence to safety protocols and PPE usage.
• Communicate with crew leads regarding task completion and challenges.
• Keep work sites clean and free of hazards.
• Document material usage and basic work activities as directed.

Purpose:

Responsible for performing skilled technical work, providing technical support for client organizations, performing installations and services for residential and commercial customers. Ensure high-quality execution of telecom and broadband services including internet, video, voice, and alarm systems.

We provide paid training for all new technicians. Training generally takes 4–8 weeks for those new to the role and may be shorter for experienced candidates. Training pay is $16.94 an hour. After training, technicians transition to production pay with a 4-6 days/week schedule and opportunities for overtime.

Requirements

Education:

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Basic construction safety training preferred
• Valid driver's license required

Experience:

• 0-2 years of experience in construction or related field
• Experience with basic hand and power tools preferred

Exposure:

• Basic knowledge of construction safety practices
• Understanding of construction site operations and protocols
• Familiarity with basic construction tools and equipment
• Awareness of proper material handling techniques
