Job summary

ManpowerGroup is seeking a Cable Installation Specialist to join our client’s team in Canton, MS. The role focuses on installing copper and fiber cabling, testing and maintaining telecom infrastructure, and ensuring compliance with installation practices in data center environments.

The position is a 6+ month W2 contract with a 10-hour shift from Monday to Thursday, offering weekly pay and benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance and a 401K savings plan.

Qualifications

• Telecommunication systems expertise and familiarity with industry standards.
• IT systems knowledge, including basic troubleshooting and integration.
• Cable and Fiber Equipment installation and maintenance experience.
• Experience with low voltage (copper/fiber) cabling and network infrastructure.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively with a diverse range of individuals in various situations.
• Demonstrated problem-solving ability and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Partner with cable vendors to install, inspect, and troubleshoot cabling.
• Install, test, and troubleshoot fiber optic and copper cabling, including patch panels and patch cords.
• Ensure that the Data Center and vendor installations comply with all installation practices.
• Manage work and priorities through a ticketing system to complete customer requests and projects.
• Exhibit quality workmanship on all work and maintain site cleanliness.
• Perform cable and fiber equipment installation and maintenance across various environments.
• Support low voltage cabling and network infrastructure, ensuring proper layout and connectivity.

Our client, a leading organization in data center operations , is seeking a Cable Installation Specialist to join their team in Canton, MS . As a Cable Installation Specialist , you will be responsible for installing and maintaining copper and fiber cabling infrastructure, supporting network connectivity across mission-critical environments, and collaborating with technical teams to ensure high-performance telecommunications systems are deployed with precision and reliability.
