Job summary

PDS Defense, Inc. seeks a Cable and Harness Technician 2 in Melbourne, FL to support lab fabrication and assembly in a team-based environment. You will verify material identification, traceability, and the quality of hardware, following engineering and planning requirements.

The role requires a high school diploma (or equivalent), possibly additional technical education, and the ability to obtain an active DoD Secret clearance. Military-connected candidates are encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent; 2 years of additional education and/or related experience
• Ability to read and interpret engineering work instructions and schematics
• Must have active DoD Secret clearance, and ability to obtain SAP within a reasonable period

Responsibilities

• Knowledge and understanding of the detailed aspects of cable designs. Verify material identification and ensure traceability during the fabrication and testing process.
• Validate quality of hardware and perform duties at a moderate complexity. Ensure all materials are properly labeled and stored following engineering and planning requirements.
• Ensures completeness, accuracy, and adherence to procedures and shop practice. Communicate any inconsistencies, deviations, or safety concerns to appropriate personnel.
• The selected candidate will support lab fabrication, and other processes in a team-based environment
