Job summary

Gladiatoremergence in Fort Meade, MD is seeking an engineer to analyze complex cable systems, design cables, architecture, and network design, and to perform testing on equipment on-site. You will deploy, install, and implement cable solutions within CONUS and OCONUS, while preparing specifications and design packages for site upgrades.

Additionally, you will ensure issues are properly identified and resolved to meet user requirements, and produce reports on existing and emerging cable

Qualifications

• Experience analyzing complex cable systems, cable design and architecture.
• Ability to procure and perform acceptance testing on equipment.
• Skill in preparing specifications and engineering design packages.

Responsibilities

• Engineering expertise to analyze complex cable systems, cable design, architecture, network design, and other technical cable issues
• Procures and performs acceptance testing on equipment
• Provides cable maintenance support, both preventative and remedial Deploys, installs, and implements cable in the Continental United States (CONUS) and Outside Continental United States (OCONUS)
• Prepares specifications for cable by analyzing documented and derived system requirements
• Prepares engineering plans and site Technical Design Packages
• Prepares site installations and test reports
• Ensures that problems have been properly identified and solutions will satisfy the user's requirements
• Prepares reports and recommendations concerning existing and emerging cable technologies
• Provides specific input to the cable components of system design to include end-user devices, servers, networking devices, data storage devices, and specialized processors
