Job summary

General Atomics Aeronautical Systems, Inc. (GA-ASI) seeks an assembler to perform non-routine and non-repetitive tasks on electronic and mechanical assemblies under minimal supervision. You will wire, hand-solder, install components, and harness cables while following specifications.

The role includes quality verification, participation in production IPTs, mentoring teammates, and supporting safe, efficient operations. A high school diploma and relevant experience are typical requirements.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; 5+ years experience is common in this role.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and wire lists.
• Understanding of soldering and cable harnessing in electronic/mechanical assemblies.
• Familiarity with security clearance requirements and DoD-related work.

Responsibilities

• Assembles components, sub-assemblies, or assemblies.
• Performs setups and adjustments with tight tolerances.
• Assembles cables, harnesses, chassis, PCBs, and related components.
• Disassembles, reworks, or tests prototype assemblies per specifications.
• Mentors team members and supports IPT meetings.
• Maintains safety and quality procedures during builds.
