Cable Assembly Drafter (Finance)
JOB TITLE: Cable Assembly Drafter
DEPARTMENT: Manufacturing Engineering
GENERAL DESCRIPTION: The Cable Assembly Drafter is responsible for preparing layouts, assembly and detail drawings for fiber optic cable assemblies; working closely with component engineering.
Essential Functions:
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Soft skills: AutoCAD, Microsoft Office, Visio
Possess good interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team environment
Liaison with engineering personnel
Able to move from design concept to finished design, including layouts and tolerance valuations and detail drawings.
Ability to learn and execute established procedures and programs
Complete all applicable reports and required project documentation
Able to follow established procedures to complete required cable assembly designs
U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident to satisfy AFSI ITAR requirements
Required Education and Experience:
One to two years' college or trade school education in engineering drawing/CAD design
Minimum five (5) years' on-the-job experience.
An equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted for formal training.
