Job summary

Beacon Group in Tucson, AZ seeks a Cable Assembly Technician to manufacture cables and harnesses per technical drawings. Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• IPC/WHMA-A-620 (IPC 620) and/or IPC J-STD-001 Certified or previously held certifications.
• Ability to assemble cables based on drawings and other technical documentation.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds unassisted.
• Excellent manual dexterity to manipulate small parts.
• Ability to push and pull up to 25 pounds.
• Ability to sit for extended periods of time.
• Ability to communicate effectively.
• Ability to follow instructions.
• Ability to use judgment.
• Ability to meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Assemble cables and wiring harnesses by reading and interpreting diagrams and blueprints.
• Solder to terminals, connectors, and braid.
• Conduct continuity and resistance testing.
• Understand and apply IPC 620 workmanship criteria.
• Work with minimal supervision.
• Maintain high production output with low defect rates.
• May operate machinery and use basic PC knowledge.

DUTIES

PRODUCTION:

• 1) Responsible for assembling cables and wiring harnesses by reading and interpreting technical diagrams and blueprints.
• 2)Ability to solder to terminals, connectors, and braid.
• 3) Conduct continuity and resistance testing.
• 4) Understanding of and demonstrated experience with IPC 620 Workmanship and Acceptability Criteria.
• 5) Requires little to no supervision.
• 6) High production output with minimal failure rate.
• 7) May be required to operate machinery. Have basic PC knowledge
