  • Serve as a technical resource for cabinetry fabrication methods, material selection, tooling, assembly techniques, and workmanship standards.
  • Interpret and work from engineering drawings, blueprints, material specifications, work instructions, and other technical documentation to ensure accurate fabrication.
  • Troubleshoot complex fabrication issues and recommend practical solutions to improve fit, finish, functionality, and product quality.
  • Identify opportunities to improve fabrication methods, tool utilization, work sequencing, material usage, and overall shop efficiency.
  • Develop, refine, and support standardized work instructions, process documentation, and best practices to promote consistent fabrication results.
  • Collaborate with Engineering and Interior Design to clarify technical requirements, resolve drawing or specification discrepancies, and address design-related fabrication challenges.
  • Coordinate with Production Control, Planning, and shop leadership to support production priorities, resolve process constraints, and maintain workflow.
  • Identify material requirements and communicate procurement or inventory needs in sufficient time to support scheduled production activities.
  • Evaluate workmanship and fabricated components to identify defects, prevent rework, and support compliance with established quality standards.
  • Support the investigation and resolution of quality issues, including identifying potential root causes and recommending corrective or preventive actions.
  • Ensure required production documentation, inspection records, and signoffs are completed accurately and in accordance with established procedures.
  • Follow applicable requirements outlined in the Repair Station Quality Manual (RSQM), FAA regulations, approved work instructions, and other applicable company procedures.
  • Assist with the development and implementation of process improvements, standard operating procedures, and consistent fabrication practices.
  • Support internal audits, process reviews, and quality initiatives related to cabinetry fabrication and associated production activities.
  • Provide technical guidance, coaching, and hands‑on knowledge transfer to cabinetmakers and other team members to strengthen fabrication capabilities and workmanship.
  • Assist with training employees on proper fabrication techniques, equipment use, documentation requirements, and established production processes.
  • Apply Lean principles and continuous improvement methods to reduce waste, improve efficiency, minimize defects, and support consistent production outcomes.
  • Communicate technical concerns, material shortages, quality issues, and production risks to the appropriate personnel in a timely manner.
  • Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in a safe, organized, and professional condition.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support departmental and company objectives.
