Job summary

ProCraft Cabinetry Chicago seeks an experienced CNC Programmer & Machinist to manufacture precision cabinet components in Hillside, IL. You will use Mozaik Cabinet Software to prepare programs and operate 3-axis CNC routers to meet design specs.

The ideal candidate has 3–5 years of CNC experience in cabinetry or woodworking, reads shop drawings, and maintains quality while optimizing processes. This on-site role runs Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of CNC machining or programming experience, preferably in cabinetry, woodworking, millwork, or related manufacturing.
• Reading and interpreting cabinet shop drawings and blueprints.
• Hands-on setup, programming, tooling, and troubleshooting of CNC routers.
• Knowledge of G-code and M-code and ability to adjust tooling and feeds.

Responsibilities

• Use Mozaik Cabinet Software to review cabinet designs and prepare CNC production files.
• Program, set up, and operate 3-axis CNC routers for cutting, drilling, routing and boring cabinet components.
• Read and interpret cabinet shop drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications.
• Adjust tooling, feed rates, spindle speeds, and toolpaths to meet production requirements.
• Machine plywood, MDF, melamine, laminate, solid wood, and other cabinetry materials.
• Perform tool changes, machine calibration, routine maintenance, and troubleshooting.
• Inspect components for dimensional accuracy and compliance with specifications.
• Identify defects, coordinate rework when needed and maintain quality standards.
• Coordinate production priorities to meet deadlines and maintain efficient workflow.
• Optimize material usage and reduce waste; suggest CNC process improvements.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.

• Experience with Mozaik Cabinet Software strongly preferred.
• Experience with custom or frameless cabinetry preferred.
• Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and ability to work independently.

Education

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Technical training or a degree in CNC machining, manufacturing technology, CAD/CAM, woodworking, or a related field preferred.
