Job summary

Capitol Museum Services (CMS) is seeking experienced Cabinetmakers for our fabrication team in Washington, DC. Projects are custom-designed using hardwoods, laminates, MDF, and plywood; you will read drawings and lay out jobs in accordance with plans.

You will operate and set up shop equipment such as table saw, miter saw, and joiner, with strict attention to detail and quality. The role requires travel to client sites and occasional overnight stays.

Qualifications

• Must read project drawings.
• Must plan and layout a job from drawings.
• Familiar with setup and operation of shop equipment (Table Saw, Miter Saw, Joiner).
• Dedicated, quality-oriented craftsperson with attention to detail.
• Effective communication on work-related projects.
• Positive attitude.
• Must be available to service client needs.
• Overnight travel may be required.
• Valid Driver’s License required.
• Periodic travel to client site during installations may be required.
