Orange Cabinetry is seeking an experienced Cabinet Sales & Design Specialist to join our growing Chicagoland team. The role blends design knowledge with sales, using 2020 Design to create accurate plans and quotes for homeowners and trade customers across Chicago area.

This is not an entry-level position. Candidates must have cabinet industry experience and proficiency in 2020 Design, with the ability to develop and grow their own client relationships.

Qualifications

• Previous cabinet industry experience required.
• Proficiency in 2020 Design software required.
• Cabinet sales or kitchen design experience.
• Strong knowledge of cabinet construction, layouts, measurements, fillers, panels, moldings, accessories, and product specifications.
• Ability to prepare designs, estimates, and customer quotes.
• Strong sales and relationship-building skills.
• Excellent communication and follow-up.
• Self-motivated with the ability to manage opportunities from initial contact through closing.

Responsibilities

• Develop new business with builders, contractors, remodelers, designers, and homeowners throughout the Chicagoland area.
• Build and maintain long-term customer relationships.
• Meet with customers to understand their project, budget, and design requirements.
• Create and revise cabinetry designs using 2020 Design.
• Prepare estimates and quotes.
• Present cabinet and design solutions to customers.
• Consistently follow up on leads, designs, and outstanding quotes.
• Close sales and develop repeat and referral business.
• Maintain an active sales pipeline.
• Coordinate with operations, customer service, and other team members to ensure accurate orders and successful projects.
• Meet or exceed established sales expectations.

Orange Cabinetry is looking for an experienced Cabinet Sales & Design Specialist to join our growing team in the Chicagoland market. We are looking for an experienced cabinet professional who can combine design knowledge with strong sales ability. The ideal candidate understands the cabinet business, is proficient in 2020 Design, can work directly with customers and trade professionals, and is motivated to develop and grow their own customer relationships throughout the Chicago area.

This is not an entry-level position.

What We Are Looking For

• Previous cabinet industry experience: REQUIRED


• Proficiency in 2020 Design software: REQUIRED


• Cabinet sales and/or kitchen design experience


• Strong knowledge of cabinet construction, layouts, measurements, fillers, panels, moldings, accessories, and product specifications


• Ability to prepare designs, estimates, and customer quotes


• Strong sales and relationship-building skills


• Excellent communication and follow-up


• Self-motivated with the ability to manage opportunities from initial contact through closing

Strongly Preferred

• Established relationships with builders, contractors, remodelers, designers, or other industry professionals in the Chicagoland area


• Familiarity with Chicago-area new-construction and rehab work, including the city, the North Shore, and the western and northwest suburbs


• Existing book of business


• Proven ability to generate new business
  
• Experience working with both trade customers and homeowners


• Field-measurement and plan-reading experience


• Knowledge of countertops, hardware, installation, and related products

Compensation & Benefits (Pay Scale and Benefits Disclosure)

• Base Salary: $50,000 per year, commensurate with cabinet industry experience, 2020 Design proficiency, and qualifications. When commission is included, the estimated total annual earnings (on-target earnings) come to $125,000 or more.


• Additional Incentives: Uncapped commission structure based on sales volume and existing book of business. Commission is paid on booked and invoiced sales and is not capped.

The pay scale and general description of benefits and other compensation stated above are provided in accordance with the Illinois Equal Pay Act pay transparency requirements (Public Act 103-0539), effective January 1, 2025.
