Job summary

Leader Ambulance in California is hiring a cabinet assembler. You will assemble wood cabinets from engineering drawings, laminate surfaces, and ensure finished work meets QA/QC standards. You will assist in training cabinet makers while maintaining safety and 5S practices.

Candidate should read English instructions, interpret drawings, and use measuring devices accurately. Expect teamwork, standard work adherence, and a focus on continuous improvement on the production floor.

Qualifications

  • Ability to read, write, comprehend and verbally communicate simple instructions in English.
  • Ability to read and understand engineering drawings and layouts in English.
  • Ability to read and use a linear and other measuring devices.

Responsibilities:

Assemble wood cabinets from engineering drawings utilizing a variety of different tools and equipment

Requirements:
  • Installation and fabrication of cabinet components and hardware
  • Assist in training cabinet makers at all skill levels
  • Laminate cabinets and panels as needed
  • Meet all QA and QC standards for each task
  • Function with minimal amount of supervision
  • Meet standards of safety and 5S
  • Promote use and applications of Lean Manufacturing continuous improvement tools as part of the culture
  • Be compliant with the rules of conduct and attendance per company handbook
  • Establish and maintain cooperative working relationships.
  • Will be required to perform other duties as requested, directed or assigned.
Qualifications/Training:
  • Ability to read, write comprehend and verbally communicate simple instructions, short correspondence and memos in English
  • Ability to read and understand engineering drawings and layout and other written or verbal instructions presented in English
  • Ability to read and use a linear and other measuring devises
  • Familiar with various tools; drills, screw gun, table saw, band saw and router
  • Ability to use basic mathematics
  • Ability to perform all operations within acceptable quality and time standards
  • Ability to recognize quality expected and be able to reproduce it

While performing the duties of this job, employee regularly works near moving mechanical parts. Employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particle and vibration. Employee is occasionally exposed to toxic or caustic chemicals

The pay scale for newly hired employees in this position at this location in California is <$19.15 or between $19.15 - $23.74>. This is based on meeting all of the requirements of the role. The base pay offered for the role may vary depending on the candidate’s job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. We are proud to offer competitive benefits in addition to competitive pay.
