Job summary

Zepsa Industries is seeking a skilled Builder to translate shop drawings into precise fabrication work. Builders will lay out, cut, mill, assemble, disassemble, label, and identify components to ensure smooth finishing, re-assembly, and installation.

Responsibilities include studying project details, reviewing shop drawings, and escalating concerns to the Shop Manager and Project Manager to maintain quality and schedule adherence.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of Zepsa Industries’ procedures and processes.
• Familiarity with project shop drawings, approved samples and/or mock-up species, finishing level, hardware and time allowances.
• Ability to consult and report concerns to the Shop Manager and Project Manager, including issues related to functionality, fabrication, and timelines.

• Review of every component for accuracy and quality must be done throughout, including during setup, cutting, molding, assembly and disassembly.
• A copy of shop drawings with 'as built notes' must be provided to the installation team; the original will remain in the office for record.

Our Builders are craftsmen who use their skills and experience to make an actual object out of a set of approved shop drawings. They must assure complete accuracy and adherence to the shop drawings. Builders are responsible to layout, create cut-list, fabricate, mill, assemble, disassemble and properly label and identify every component of a job to guarantee that finishing, re-assembly and installation phases can carry on with their specific tasks efficiently. They are responsible for taking every step necessary to guarantee quality and accuracy via careful handling of materials, tools and equipment as well as using their best judgement to foresee and report and report issues that potentially could have an inverse effect on quality, time allowances, finish expectations, functionality, etc.
